Orange Crush Cake

Oh how I love this simple cake.  The recipe originally was a Mountain Dew Cake but I changed a few things to change it over to orange.  It comes out wonderfully moist and is always a hit wherever I take it.

Orange Crush Cake

1 box orange cake mix
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
3/4 c oil
12 oz of orange soda
1/2 tsp orange extract

Mix all ingredients until well blended.  Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes.  After removing from the oven, let it stand in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool on a rack.

This is great just as is or you can also add a little cream cheese icing over the top.

**If you are interested in trying it in the Mountain Dew version, then you just change the orange cake mix to a lemon cake mix, change the vanilla pudding to lemon and change the soda to a Mountain Dew.  You also omit the orange flavoring.

  6. OK, this cake is like an answer to a dilemma I have. I was able to get tons of Orange Soda for free (small moneymaker actually) with coupons awhile ago and I really need some ideas of what to use it for (other than drinking it). This is amazing! I am so making this with an orange cream cheese glaze!

Thanks for sharing at Mealtime Monday!
