Galatians 6:7-9

Galatians 6:7-9

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

These verses were included in our Sunday school material yesterday and I haven't stopped thinking about them since.  It was included in material about minding your money and finances but I kept thinking about life in general.  What am I sowing daily?

I teach my children daily that you will always get back what you give.  You give happiness and smiles then you will get happiness and smiles back.....You give frowns and complaining and you'll get frowns and complaining back.  In everyday life they are always plenty of obstacles to trip us up and make us complain but what does it accomplish?  My mom always said "By the time you complain about it you could have already done it."  As Christians we should be modeling good behavior on behalf of our Lord and Saviour.  He should shine through our works daily.  If we grumble and complain what example are we setting for the non-believer.

When you feel the need to grumble and complain take a minute and ask the Lord to calm your spirit and seal your lips.  Put a smile on your face today....I mean the Lord did allow you to get up this morning!!
