The Nivens Apple Farm Apple Fest is Saturday, Sept. 28! Mark it on your calendar! We’ll have live music, plenty of fun and games for the kids, apple picking and much more. Delicious barbecue plates created by the “Carolina Rib King” himself, Solomon Williams, will be sold throughout the day.
They also have a recipe contest and will be awarding prizes during the festival. Head over here to submit your recipe by Sept 15. There’s no cost to enter. Your recipe must include apples, and offer step-by-step preparation instructions. Three finalists will be chosen to prepare their dishes to be judged at the festival. Prizes will be awarded to all 3 finalists and the grand prize will be $200!!
